RodmanSan Roderick van Erp E-Troid RodmanSan is a producer from E-Troid the Netherlands, situated in Noord-Brabant. He is a veteran of the Dutch 1980's HipHop scene. In 1985, when HipHop music found its way to stereo systems all over Europe, he formed part of several HipHop crews like AK47's Amore, TOP Department & Mzungu Roaddogs. After a while he got together with rapper Cruzaway of TOP Department to roll out some rhythm and rhyme, with RodmanSan concentrating on the beats and Cruzaway spitting out the crazy lyrics. As all music is supposed to, theirs started evolving too. RodmanSan fooled around with samplers, keyboards, drumcomputers and stuff, and from HipHop they moved on to more Electronic music. Throwing in more and more BreakBeats, speeding all that shit up, until in 1997 they recorded a demo tape containing 5 bass-infested Drum'n'Bass tracks under the name 2 Wikked. "Lost in Bass" was the title of their first demo CD, featuring 6 tracks; one of which ended up on the first "Reload" CD that came with the first issue of the Dutch magazine by the same name. The title track from that demo was released on "Dutch Breakz - High Quality Breakbeats From the Netherlands", a double CD project by the Dutch Breakz Internet community, released in March 2000 on the Fluff Girl Wax record label. The Fluff Girl Wax record label became in 2001 his own and he has big plans for the future. His first release was the "XXX Breakz 12 Inch EP", featuring four rolling Drum'n'Bass gems for your booty shakin' pleasure. One other release was a compilation CD titled "Dutch Breakz : Volume 2", featuring 10 tracks by 10 artists, a razor sharp profile of contemporary Dutch Breakbeat music. In the years 2002 & 2003 he produced a couple of more 12 Inches, which were released on the Fluff Girl Wax record label including a CD from the band 9 Days Wonder titled "Nighttrip". Between the year 2004 and now RodmanSan's music production was slowed down due to the fact that he spend time starting up his own family. But at the moment RodmanSan is creating new music again so get ready for some more X-Rated Breakz in the future to come. What others say : "The sound is unmistakably Drum'n'Bass / BreakBeat, but really doesn't resemble anything but his own. With abstract but funky breaks, spacey noises, eerie movie samples and, most of all, the demolishing bass, RodmanSan creates an irresistible groove, guaranteed to tear the roof off any sucker."
